Applicability to Modulus and Floor Division

It might seem that turning modulus or floor
division by a constant into multiplication would be simpler, in that the
"add 1 if the dividend is negative" step could be omitted. This is
not the case. The methods given above do not apply in any obvious way to
modulus and floor division. Perhaps something could be worked out; it might
involve altering the multiplier m slightly
depending upon the sign of the dividend.
