Creating Forms

As with most objects you create in a database, you have several choices when creating a form.

  • You can use the AutoForm command to create a simple form that contains all the fields in the currently selected table or query.

  • With the AutoForm Wizards, Access creates a simple form (columnar, tabular, or datasheet) based on the table or query you specify.

  • With the Form Wizard, you can specify the kind of form you want to create and the wizard guides you through each step of the process. You answer a series of questions about your form, and Access creates a form using your formatting preferences.

Of course, once you have completed a form, you can further customize it in Design view. As always, you can begin creating your form in Design view without using the wizard at all.
