Start Internet Information Services console

Go to the Control Panel

Select administrative tools

Select Internet Information Services

Create a new virtual directory

Open the IIS Console

Open the Web Sites node

Open the Default Web Site node

Right mouse click on the Default Web Site node

Select New Virtual Directory

Follow the wizard

Surf to a resource from IIS

Right mouse click on the resource

Select Browse

See what file types are supported in IIS

Right mouse click on the Virtual directory

Select Properties

Press the Configure button
