Hour 6. Using Wizards to Create a Database

Access provides many wizards that facilitate the process of creating a database and the objects within it. These wizards can provide everything that you need. Sometimes, however, you might run the wizards and then have to modify the design of the objects that the wizards create, or you might find it easier to build the objects from scratch. This hour focuses on the wizards, and in later hours, you'll learn how to modify the objects that the wizards create and build the objects from scratch.

In this hour you'll learn the following:

  • How to use the Database Wizard to create a new database

  • How to create an empty database from scratch

  • How to use wizards to create queries, forms, and reports
