Change and Defect Elements

Changes and Defects are structured comments that can be used in managing change in a project. A Defect element (also known as an Issue element) corresponds to a failure to match the requirements for the current system. A Change element corresponds to a change in requirements for the current system.

Using Structured Comments

You can track changes and defects (issues) in an Enterprise Architect model. Change and Defect elements can be created in UML diagrams and linked using Realization, Dependency, Aggregation and other relationships to show what model element each affects and how each is resolved.
