Enterprise Architect provides you with a selection of toolbars that you can drag and dock within the application frame. These toolbars provide convenient shortcuts to common tasks. You can also float toolbars over the application by tearing them off the application toolbar section; this is useful when you are using a certain set of functions a lot in a particular area.

You can customize toolbars by deleting and reordering the default button set. See Customize Toolbars for more information. You can customize which toolbars are active by right-clicking on the toolbar background and selecting the required items in the context menu.

Note: You can dock toolbars to the edge of Enterprise Architect by dragging them by the title bar and placing them against the edge where you want them. The example below shows the Default Tools toolbar docked to the left side of the Enterprise Architect workspace:
